Tiny endangered Chilean froglets are born in London after a mission to save them from extinction

London Zoo welcomed 33 endangered Darwin’s frogs, born from 11 male frogs that carried them in their vocal sacs. The frogs were rescued from Chile’s Parque Tantauco forests, where chytrid fungus has decimated populations. Conservationists transported 52 healthy frogs 7,000 miles to London to protect the species from extinction. Experts hope the project will aid both Darwin’s frogs' survival and global amphibian conservation efforts.
